Job summary

Pilgrim's in Texas seeks a Production Supervisor to coordinate and direct the production department toward high productivity and quality. The role includes training staff, ensuring safety and compliance, and maintaining cost-effective operations.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of supervisory experience, with poultry/food-industry background preferred, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3 or more years of previous Supervisory experience.
• Poultry or food industry experience a plus.
• Experience leading 20+ employees.
• Effective communication both orally and in writing.
• Capable of independent decision making.
• Must have basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and directs the production department to maximize productivity while maintaining quality.
• Trains and supervises production personnel.
• Monitors OSHA, food safety, and fair employment practices in assigned area.
• Schedules and motivates production labor to meet schedules.
• Works with other plant functions to support output and quality.
• Identifies and recommends improvements in production flow and methods.
• Notifies management of equipment modifications to improve production.
• Performs other duties as required by production demands.
