Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a production operator at our Mars Hill, Maine facility. This role covers set-up, operation, and disassembly of production equipment, with duties spanning loading, unloading, packaging, and transfer of goods.

The position alternates with sanitation tasks as directed by the plant supervisor. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in industrial equipment or food manufacturing, and forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of industrial equipment or food manufacturing experience required.
• Forklift certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to GMP during production, sanitation, and handling materials.
• Maintain and adjust equipment to control designated weights on a package or case basis.
• Meet production performance requirements in a fast-paced environment.
• Transfer finished products and raw materials to identified locations in plant/warehouse or on production line.
• Adhere to safety requirements including PPE as prescribed for each activity.
• Perform CCP checks as needed depending on location and manufacturing processes.
• Report food safety and human safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
