Job description

Position Summary:

• This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for the proper operations of our canning and/or packaging line(s)
• Canning or packaging product for our valued customers in a timely manner while meeting safety and quality food codes and procedures

Essential Job Functions:

• Can or package products according to standard operating procedures
• Perform tasks with focus towards organization, sanitation, and safety
• Ensure product is of highest standards before and after packaging
• Run routine inspections on equipment to ensure quality
• Classification of Instructional Programs for all equipment according to standard operating procedures
• Perform daily maintenance of the canning and packaging lines
• Effectively work with and coordinate with packaging team
• Accurately keep and maintain records pertaining to task
• Maintain clean work environment
• Additional duties as required

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• This position requires 1-2 years of experience in similar duties
• Detail orientated person required for this position
• Ability to complete tasks in timely manner
• Capable of lifting 40 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• Must always wear personal protective equipment
• Participates actively in all plant safety initiatives, programs, and training sessions
• Ability to work a schedule of (4) full 10-hour workdays per week, with the flexibility to occasionally work nights and weekends as needed
