Job summary

Southside Processing LLC in Elgin, TX is seeking a Processing Technician I to support full-time food processing operations. You will follow supervisor directions to process raw and smoked products and maintain records of weights, temperatures and batch cards.

The role requires attention to HACCP and sanitation standards, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and regular exposure to heat and cold conditions. Prior food manufacturing exposure is preferred and a Food Handler Certification can be

Qualifications

• Ability to understand English for all job-related circumstances.
• Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.

Responsibilities

• Completes start-up and shut-down procedures for processing areas.
• Grinds, blends, and final grinds raw materials for processing.
• Loads, unloads, cooks and records weights for the smokehouse.
• Records weights and uses thermometers/probes; follows HACCP procedures.
• Adheres to sanitation schedules and maintains cleanliness of machines and areas.
