Job summary

Sanitor in Miami, FL is seeking a Full Time Sanitor to clean and sanitize food processing equipment and facilities. The role requires following GMP and safety guidelines, with bilingual English/Spanish helpful. The candidate will operate cleaning systems, prepare solutions, and support the plant's sanitation program.

Responsibilities include daily equipment sanitation, valve work, and sample collection for titration analysis. Flexibility for weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Forklift operation is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Understanding GMP and Food Safety guidelines.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning and sanitizing of food processing equipment.
• Turn valves to drain machines or tanks and disconnect pipes.
• Spray machines, tanks and conveyors with water to loosen dirt.
• Scrub machines, tanks, tables, pans, and conveyors; rinse.
• Scrub floors and walls as part of cleaning program.
• Connect hoses and lines to pumps to circulate cleaning solution.
• Scrub interior of pipes, valves, spigots, meters.
• Handle and prepare chemical cleaning solutions.
• Collect samples of cleaning solutions for titration analysis.
• Other tasks assigned by the Plant.
• Report defective machinery to supervisor.
