Job summary

Pacific Seafood is seeking a diligent Sanitation Lead to plan, coordinate, and direct our sanitation program, ensuring top-tier food safety and product quality across processing areas.

You will train the sanitation crew, supervise chemical usage, and foster safety, quality, and compliance. A high school diploma or GED and at least one year of relevant experience are required; HACCP or COOL Act experience and forklift/pallet jack certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of one year related experience and/or training.
• Preferred: experience leading a sanitation program in a food processing environment.
• Preferred: HACCP, COOL Act, or other food safety program experience.
• Preferred: forklift and pallet jack experience; forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Train sanitation crew on cleaning and sanitation protocols.
• Oversee chemical usage and cleaning agents in the processing area.
• Supervise placement of refuse and safe use of sanitation tools.
• Ensure removal of debris from processing area.
• Communicate chemical supply levels to management.
• Compile and store sanitation compliance data and reports.
• Act as safety leader promoting safe work and plant safety.
• Verify efficacy of daily cleaning via ATP tests and preop inspections.
• Conduct new hire and ongoing job and safety training for the crew.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack; maintain related equipment.
• Cross train with buyers and inventory control for vacation coverage.
