Job summary

Rich Products Corporation in Crest Hill, IL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to ensure smooth operation of plant equipment. The role focuses on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and electronic maintenance, including troubleshooting and preventive tasks across the line.

You will diagnose issues, tune equipment using drawings and PLC/SCADA knowledge, train associates, and uphold GMP and safety standards while supporting production and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years in food processing with troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to train other associates in maintenance operations.
• Ability to work as part of a self-directed work team.
• Proficient in Rich’s SCADA system.
• Knowledge of GMP and Food Safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses maintenance failures.
• Uses drawings and manuals to tune equipment using PLC/SCADA principles.
• Performs basic plumbing, metalworking and general facilities/building maintenance.
• Operates Rich’s SCADA system and completes appropriate paperwork.
• Trains associates on required maintenance skills.
• Maintains a safe and GMP-compliant work area.
