Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. seeks a production operator to run machinery such as blenders and mixers, interpreting the daily schedule and preparing equipment for runs. You will troubleshoot, record production data, and ensure accurate measurements and clean work areas in a fast-paced facility.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds in some tasks, stand up to 10 hours, and work in variable temperatures. Overtime and weekend shifts are common in this six-day operation.

Qualifications

• 3-Month Operator experience must be listed in job history.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 45 pounds repeatedly during shift.
• Some areas must require repetitive lifting up to 75 pounds during Shift.
• Must stand on hard concrete floors for up to 10 hours per day.
• Must work in cold/hot temperatures ranging from 40-75 degrees on a routine basis.
• Must work in wet and/or humid conditions, slippery floors in some areas.
• Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, and pinching, climbing stairs and/or ladders.
• Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification.
• Knowledge of basic food processing compliance, FDA, USDA, and EPA is preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends and other duties as assigned by Management

Responsibilities

• Interpret daily production schedule.
• Operate assigned production equipment per product specifications.
• Determine equipment adjustments and material requirements.
• Compile and record production data and reports on volume of production.
• Prepare equipment for production and test runs.
• Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Operate and observe equipment operation to detect work piece defects or equipment malfunction, and measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy.
• Ensure work area is clean at all times.
• Record keeping and attention to detail.
• Follow department standards
