Bluegrass Ingredients in Glasgow, KY is seeking a Process Engineer, Technical Services to design, commission, optimize, and maintain food products and manufacturing processes. The role requires ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance across production systems, with on-call availability and travel to plants.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering (Food Science, Chemical, Mechanical, or related).
• 5+ years experience in food manufacturing systems or related fields.
• Technical skills in process design, production software, and knowledge of unit operations like pasteurization, drying, freezing, and packaging.
• Strong regulatory knowledge of food safety laws, sanitation, and HACCP/GMP.
• Willingness to travel regionally to manufacturing locations to provide support.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve food processing systems, equipment, and workflows to enhance product consistency and efficiency.
• Implement/commission new products, production lines, and operating systems.
• Analyze and optimize current and new production processes to maximize output and minimize costs.
• Ensure quality and safety controls and regulatory compliance across production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues and implement new technologies.
• Document process details for maintenance and continuous improvement.
