Job summary

Kettle Cuisine, LLC. in Lynn, MA is seeking a Process Development Manager to lead the manufacturing transition of new recipes into production, own local product launches, and ensure quality throughout the lifecycle.

You will manage the local process team, develop manufacturing methods with cross-functional partners in Operations, Culinary, QA and Procurement, and drive continuous improvement across packaging, scale-up and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-8 years in process management in the food manufacturing industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Food Science or related field.
• Must be familiar with a variety of food technologies, practices and procedures.
• Strong business and financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• New Product Development and local process team management.
• Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
• Collaborate with Culinary Team on all new recipes for local factory to ensure capabilities and product expectations are presented properly to our customers.
• Highlight risks from a manufacturing and quality aspect to be brought to entire cross functional team.
• Responsible for full approval of recipes from Culinary Team to move forward to factory trials.
• Manufacturing formula management, delegating R&D recipes transition to factory ready manufacturing recipes with Senior Technologist.
• Recipe Scale up, Written Procedures for all Manual Kettles in multiple languages, & Recipe Management creation for all kettle types.
• Direct Process Team for all work on Pre-Production Trials, Launches to ensure recipe scale up is successful.
• Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
• Monitor product yields of new launches & trials to further assess risks of new and up coming projects.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
