Job summary

Kettle Cuisine, LLC. is seeking a Culinary R&D Assistant in Lynn, MA to support research and development chefs, maintain a clean Culinary Center, and manage sample requests for customer samples.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• On-the-job training of 3–6 months.
• MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook, in daily use.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Experience in production kitchen or factory environments is helpful.
• Cleanliness and sanitation skills required.
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a neat, sanitized, organized Culinary Center including kitchen, pantry, cooler and freezer.
• Keep stock par levels with proper rotation, labeling and storage.
• Requisition and record usage of raw materials/ingredients.
• Set up kitchen equipment each morning.
• Gather recipes, determine ingredients and source raw materials daily.
• Supply culinary team with clean equipment and materials all day.
• Oversee and ensure effectiveness of the sample request program.
• Process product sample orders from request to delivery.
• Coordinate sample processing with Sales, Executives, R&D, QA and others.
• Work with cross-plant teams to pull/manufacture against sample dates.
• Pack samples to specifications with all support materials.
• Track samples and alert teams to issues or delays.
• Additional responsibilities as needed.
