Job summary

Whitsons Culinary Group is hiring a Sanitation Associate to maintain mandatory sanitation requirements across machinery, equipment and facilities in our plant. You will perform exterior cleaning, assist with major projects, and coordinate with production staff to keep sanitation schedules on track.

The role requires high school completion, English proficiency, and prior food plant experience preferred. You will follow OSHA regulations and Whitsons policies, while supporting a safe, audit-ready

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food plant experience preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Ensures plant is audit ready at all times by cleaning, scrubbing, and sanitizing the outside of all equipment, tanks, stairs, walls, floors, baseboards, handrails, sinks, drains, and trash cans throughout the plant.
• Assists production staff with cleaning up major projects as needed.
• Responsible for the daily exterior cleaning of machinery.
• Ensures different rooms are cleaned throughout the plant by mopping, sweeping, wiping, etc..
• Takes direction from Sanitation Supervisor to resolve sanitation-related issues.
• Works with Production and other co-workers to meet sanitation schedules while maximizing productivity.
• Analyzes and resolves sanitation work problems, or assists workers in solving sanitation work problems.
• Responsible for keeping outside grounds cleaned all year round.
• Clean common and office areas on occasion.
• Actively participates as a member on assigned teams.
• Adheres to all plant, OSHA, and Safety Regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
