Job summary

Whitsons at Berkeley Culinary Center is seeking a Sanitation Team Member PM to ensure the plant meets mandatory sanitation requirements for machinery, equipment and facilities. This role cleans, scrubs, and sanitizes exterior of equipment and helps production while following OSHA and safety rules.

The position offers a night shift schedule (9pm-5am) with a pay rate of $16.25 per hour. Requires a high school diploma, English proficiency, and completion of Whitsons/government training.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• Must complete all Whitsons and government required training as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes exterior of equipment, tanks, walls, floors, and other surfaces to keep the plant audit-ready.
• Assists production staff with cleaning up major projects as needed.
• Performs daily exterior cleaning of machinery and maintains clean grounds year-round.
• Keeps different rooms cleaned throughout the plant by mopping, sweeping, wiping, etc.
• Responds to sanitation-related issues under the direction of the Sanitation Supervisor.
