Job summary

Just Born, Inc. in Philadelphia, PA is hiring a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment with emphasis on electrical and mechanical systems in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include machine setup/changeover, preventive maintenance on motors/conveyors/pumps, PLC/VFD troubleshooting, wiring and reading schematics, and CMMS data updates in MaintainX. Shift is 1st, Mon-Fri with Saturdays as needed; pay rate is $31.99 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment required (food manufacturing a plus).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot circuits.
• Clear communication skills and a proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify root cause to repair electrical and mechanical issues on production equipment.
• Machine setup and changeover.
• Perform preventive maintenance on motors, conveyors, pumps, and other equipment to ensure proper operation of machinery.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, automation systems, and test equipment using equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, oscilloscopes.
• Read electrical blueprints and technical diagrams to install/repair systems.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support smooth daily operations.
• Update and maintain CMMS (MaintainX) data and keep accurate records of inspections, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Follow all safety standards including company guidelines, Lockout/Tagout, NEC, and OSHA guidelines.
