Job summary

Lyons Magnus Fresno, CA is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead capital improvements, reliability, process optimization, and manufacturing support projects from business case through startup and handover. The ideal candidate has strong engineering fundamentals, practical project experience, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering as listed.
• 3–5 years of progressive engineering/project experience in food, beverage, CPG, pharmaceutical, or comparable process manufacturing.
• Experience leading capital projects and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of CAD, project scheduling, and capital planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital and major maintenance projects from concept through closeout with clear scopes, budgets, schedules, and risk reviews.
• Develop equipment specifications, RFQs, bid comparisons, and installation plans, coordinating multi-discipline needs.
• Lead technical bid reviews and coordinate with OEMs, engineering firms, and contractors.
• Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, startup, punch-list, and handover activities with operator training and manuals.
• Support investigations into manufacturing constraints and drive improvements through data-driven actions.
• Involve Quality, Food Safety, EHS, and Process Authority resources to ensure regulatory compliance.
