Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking an on-site technician in Cherry Hill Township, NJ. The role focuses on maintaining and documenting electrical and control systems for food manufacturing equipment, ensuring uptime and compliance with GMP and safety standards.

Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical/control issues, coordinating Electro-Mechanics across shifts, and performing preventive maintenance on process control networks and drives. Occasional offsite support may be required.

Qualifications

• AS/AAS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred.
• Strong reading/interpretation of electrical, mechanical, and control docs.
• Experience with Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi software and PM software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current documentation for all electrical and control systems.
• Assist Mechanics and Electro-Mechanics in diagnosing and resolving electrical or control issues.
• Provide training and coordinate activities of Electro-Mechanics across all shifts as needed.
• Occasionally work offsite to support equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ensure production equipment is maintained according to the production schedule.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical inspections safely while equipment is operational.
• Address corrective, preventive, or scheduled repairs during equipment downtime following specs.
• Work independently or with a mechanic to rectify equipment failures, restoring production promptly.
• Complete tasks in adherence to government regulations, GMP, safety standards, QA measures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on batching and process control systems, including networks, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics.
• Maintain secondary systems for steam, water, pneumatic air, electrical power, refrigeration, HVAC, emissions control.
• Keep accurate work records per work orders, backlog, and job systems.
