Job summary

Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) seeks a Full Time Pantry Assistant at Jackson County Food Pantry in McKee, KY. You will support daily operations, assist with participant registration, data entry, and distribution records, and help ensure accurate reporting.

Responsibilities also include ordering and inventory, coordinating pantry deliveries, and backing up driver duties. A High School diploma is required; experience is minimal. CAP offers comprehensive benefits and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent General Studies required.
• Less than 1 year of successful experience in related field or combination of education and experience.
• Valid Kentucky Driver's License and maintain a safe driving record required.
• CAP Driving Certification (or ability to obtain within first 90 days) required.
• DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain within first 90 days)
• Obtain and maintain forklift certification
• Obtain and maintain Food Handler Permit

Responsibilities

• Serves as an assistant in the daily functions of operating the Jackson County Food Pantry. Assist with participant registration, data entry, and distribution records. Provide reports as needed.
• Assist with food ordering and maintaining appropriate inventory levels in the pantry. Follow all policies for proper food handling, transportation and storage. Responsible for all pantry deliveries and product pick up.
• Participates in the planning and executing of the annual Hunger Walk, food drives, events, and food education. Provides support and training to pantry volunteers. Serves as backup driver using the small box truck as needed.
