Job summary

University of Pikeville is seeking a Jubilee Center Assistant—Lisa’s Love Food Pantry Student Assistant to support daily operations of the campus pantry and help ensure students have access to nutritious food and essential care items.

The role involves inventory management, customer service, distribution, and community outreach while promoting a welcoming, confidential environment for all pantry visitors. Position is entry-level and FWS funded.

Responsibilities

Welcome pantry visitors with professionalism, compassion, respect, and confidentiality.
Receive, inspect, sort, and stock donations following pantry and food safety guidelines.
Monitor inventory, rotate stock using FIFO practices, and remove expired or damaged items.
Assist students with pantry procedures and locating available resources.
Maintain accurate inventory, donation, distribution, and usage records.
Support food drives, donation campaigns, volunteer events, and outreach initiatives.
Create promotional and social media content to increase pantry awareness and engagement.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pantry environment.
Collaborate with campus and community partners to support pantry operations and events.
Demonstrate dependability, ethical stewardship, and commitment to serving the campus community.
