Job summary

Randstad USA in Carson, CA seeks a hands-on Machine Operator for a high-tempo food manufacturing facility. You will own the production line from start to finish, perform setup, run at high speed, and troubleshoot to minimize downtime.

The role requires 1+ year of machine operating experience, GMP/safety discipline, and ability to work in a cold environment, with a 2:30 PM–11:00 PM shift.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of machine operating experience in food processing, packaging, or industrial manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with quick problem-solving under pressure.
• Solid understanding of GMP and workplace safety protocols.
• Ability to work comfortably in cold ambient temperatures for the shift.
• High attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Startup & Changeovers: perform pre-shift line calibrations and equipment setup according to specs.
• Real-Time Troubleshooting: identify issues, clear line jams, and resolve faults on high-speed packaging equipment.
• Line Execution: monitor conveyors, fillers, sealers, and labelers to meet output targets.
• Quality & Safety: enforce GMPs, SSOPs, and safety protocols.
• Documentation: log downtime, output counts, changeover timing, and waste.
