Job summary

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma preferred; or one year related work experience or training.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple and complex instructions and memos.
• English language skills required for reading, writing and safety communications.
• Ability to match numbers, weights and product codes.
• Ability to apply basic workplace safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, operates Sealing, Filling, Cartoning and/or Labeling machines.
• Verifies and loads correct materials for the product being run.
• Operates equipment and ensures proper routine maintenance and supplies are provided.
• Observes upstream and downstream process to maintain smooth product flow.
• Cleans machinery to ensure optimum efficiency.
• Notifies supervisor on low supplies or defects; alerts when machinery malfunctions.
• Adheres to safety rules and Food Safety regulations.
