Job summary

Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Food Coordinator to lead procurement, tracking and distribution of pantry food and personal care items. You will lead staff and volunteers to meet operational objectives and collaborate with other areas to fulfill the pantry's mission.

The role is hourly, non-exempt, 25 hours per week. An Associates Degree or equivalent relevant experience in leadership, analytics, logistics, inventory management or distribution is required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree and/or equivalent relevant experience in leadership, analytics, logistics, inventory management or distribution processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement, tracking and distribution of all food and personal care items for the pantry.
• Lead staff and volunteers in achieving operational objectives.
• Work collaboratively with other functional areas to ensure the pantry's mission is met.
• Ensure optimum stock of food and personal care items is available for clients from a variety of sources at all times.
• Manage optimum inventory levels for all client food preferences served and methods of distribution offered.
• Provide direction, oversight, training and support to employees and groups of volunteers working in food operations.
• Work with various vendors and resources to support a smooth and flexible operational system.
• Ensure all food supplied by the pantry meets food safety and delivery protocols.
• Develop budget and monitor financial requirements to support ongoing food operations.
