Job summary

Southern HealthCare Management seeks a qualified Food and Nutrition Manager to lead the Food and Nutrition Department within a long-term care and skilled nursing center.

You will oversee meal planning, preparation, and presentation to ensure residents' nutritional needs are met while managing a team of cooks and aides. Collaborate with the Dietetic Manager and HR to implement the benefits package and incentives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Coursework approved by the Dietary Managers Association is preferred.
• One year of supervised food service experience in an institutional setting is required with focus on planning, preparing and servicing regular and therapeutic diets.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Food and Nutrition Manager with oversight of the Food and Nutrition Department in a long-term care and Skilled Nursing Center.
• Assist with the preparation and presentation of food to Residents and Patients.
• Ensure all meals meet the nutritional needs of Residents and Patients.
• Oversee the Departments Cooks and Aides to ensure the Dietary Program is in compliance with State and Federal Regulations.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Dietary Managers Association coursework (preferred)
