Job summary

The Jel Sert Company is seeking a Production Department Manager to lead Jel Sert's manufacturing function. The role focuses on safety, quality, and efficiency, with responsibilities spanning planning, SOP development, and staff leadership across Blending, Liquid, and Powder areas.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in a food & beverage manufacturing leadership role, strong leadership and communication skills, and a bilingual English/Spanish ability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a food & beverage manufacturing leadership role.
• Experience leading teams, departments, and managing staff is required.
• Understands SQF, HACCP, and safety within manufacturing.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety initiatives and ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure SQF compliance and HACCP verifications.
• Plan production requirements and manage department goals.
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Lead training, discipline, and accountability within the department.
• Report inventory and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
