Job summary

Campbell Soup Company in Downers Grove, IL is seeking an EHS Coordinator to help create a safe, compliant, and engaged workplace. You will partner with site leadership to strengthen safety programs, drive regulatory compliance, and promote a culture of shared responsibility.

Responsibilities include training, audits, inspections, incident investigations, and continuous improvement to protect people and the facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety, environmental, manufacturing, industrial, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations.
• Strong communication, presentation, and employee training skills.
• Experience conducting incident investigations, audits, inspections, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management systems.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, environmental, and company requirements.
• Coordinate and deliver safety training, new hire onboarding, and ongoing safety awareness initiatives.
• Conduct facility inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.
• Maintain OSHA logs, safety records, training documentation, and regulatory compliance reports.
• Monitor injury, illness, and incident trends and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Support Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Hazard Communication (HazCom), and other core safety programs.
• Collaborate with employees and leadership to identify, assess, and mitigate workplace risks.
• Assist with regulatory inspections, audits, workers’ compensation investigations, and related follow-up activities.
• Promote continuous improvement through safety initiatives, employee engagement, and best practices.
• Support site safety committees and daily Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) activities.
• Serve as backup for critical safety functions during the absence of the Operations Safety Manager.
