Job summary

GT’s Living Foods, LLC is seeking a Laboratory Support Technician for a full-time temporary role. You will collect samples from worksites, prepare them for microbiological testing, and record data such as pH and Brix values. You will help maintain lab equipment and assist production staff as needed.

The position requires working 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with PPE, and offers hourly pay between $18.00 and $20.00. GT’s Living Foods is an Equal Opportunity Employer dedicated to a diverse and inclusive

Qualifications

• 0-6 months of laboratory experience or equivalent education.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and be able to drive locally.

Responsibilities

• Pick up samples from various worksites and return to the laboratory, ensuring proper storage and packaging for ingredients/samples.
• Assist with conducting lab tests, such as preparing samples of raw ingredients, juices, and finished products for microbiological testing and environmental swabs.
• Data entry, recording product name, lot numbers, pH, and Brix on tested product.
• Maintain cleanliness of laboratory equipment and inventory.
• Comply with safety procedures and regulations.
• Occasionally assist Quality Technicians on the production line as needed.

• Experience: Seeking 0-6 months of Laboratory experience or an equivalent of relevant education
• Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and be able to drive a motor vehicle to travel locally

Job Description

• Assist with conducting lab tests, such as preparing samples of raw ingredients, juices, and finished products for microbiological testing and environmental swabs.
• Data entry, manually recording product name, lot numbers, Ph, and Brix on tested product.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of laboratory equipment and inventory.
• Comply with safety procedures and regulations.
• Occasionally assist Quality Technicians on the production line as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong attention to detail; passion for accuracy and granular details
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Communication: ability to convey information clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.
• Partner collaboratively and place a premium on team success over individual accomplishments.
• Consistently meet deadlines; ensures time-sensitive tests are completed as specified.
• Work efficiently and effectively to prioritize tasks
• Food Science degree preferred or similar

Job Details

• Work Hours: 9am-5:30pm. Full-Time (Temporary).
• Work Attire: Must wear proper PPE. Use good judgment, keeping in mind the nature of their work, their own safety and the safety of others.
• Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00hr
