Job summary

United States Sugar Corporation in Clewiston, FL, is seeking a Crane Operator/Heavy Equipment Specialist. This day shift role may require overtime and occasional night, weekend, or holiday work, and rotating shifts as needed.

You will operate swing cab telescopic cranes, hydraulic excavators, pay loaders and other heavy equipment, conduct pre- and post-operation inspections, perform light maintenance, and support safety and production standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years full-time experience operating swing cab telescopic cranes in an industrial setting.
• Valid NCCCO certification for swing cab telescopic cranes (TLL).
• Must pass company-designated screenings and pre-employment drug tests.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple types of heavy equipment as directed by supervision.
• Conduct daily pre/post operation inspections and complete inspection checklists.
• Clean equipment and perform minor preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Work safely to meet production standards and assist in training other operators.
