Job summary

Maker's Pride in Ohio is seeking an Equipment Rebuilder to disassemble, inspect, repair, and rebuild food manufacturing equipment, ensuring safe, reliable operation and compliance with safety and quality standards.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and support installations and upgrades while maintaining accurate records and collaborating with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance or equipment rebuilding preferred.
• Familiarity with lockout/tagout and forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, and rebuild production and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and determine repair or replacement requirements.
• Replace worn components including bearings, seals, belts, chains, gears, shafts, motors, pumps and valves.
• Perform equipment overhauls during planned shutdowns and preventive maintenance periods.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, parts manuals, and equipment specifications.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage documentation.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians, production personnel, and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
• Follow GMP, HACCP, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements.
