Educational Opportunities for Children and Families in Vancouver, WA seeks a Cook-Driver to load/unload and deliver meals and supplies to classroom sites, with daytime hours Monday–Friday.

As a Cook-Driver you will assist with food preparation, packaging, and stock control, and ensure safe food handling and cheerful service for children. The role is 35 hours per week at $20 per hour, with possibilities to grow within a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience or education in food preparation/handling, batch cooking, and/or catering.
• Delivery driving experience, preferred.
• Washington State Food Handlers Card.
• First Aid and CPR training; EOCF will provide training.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Auto insurance and acceptable driving abstract.
• Knowledge of Safe driving practices.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, reach and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Read and follow recipes with accuracy.

Educational Opportunities for Children and Families (EOCF) is committed to supporting children and families through developmentally appropriate early learning programs. We believe in empowering staff and equipping classrooms to ensure every child thrives.

Come join our team as a Cook-Driver and help us in a variety of capacities by using your heavy lifting ability to load/unload and deliver meals and other supplies to our classroom sites. You may also find yourself assisting with final preparation and packaging of hot/cold foods and supplies, general cleaning, and assisting with inventory/stocking supplies.

Scheduled for 35 hours per week, with an hourly wage of $20.00. General schedule is Monday- Friday daytime hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

One year experience or education in food preparation/handling, batch cooking, and/or catering experience desired. Delivery driving experience, preferred.

Certification and Other Requirements

Valid Washington State Food Handlers Card

Valid First Aid and CPR card - EOCF will provide training if needed.

Valid Driver's License

Reliable transportation

Valid auto insurance

Acceptable driving abstract

Knowledge of:

Safe driving practices

Vancouver WA geographical area

Principles of nutrition as it relates to children's healthy development.

Principles of safe and healthy food storage, preparation, and service.

Basic principles of grammar, written and oral communication, and mathematics.

Ability to:

Walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, reach and twist on a continual basis.

Grasp, push, pull objects such as loaded boxes, crates, general hardware, equipment, dollies, hand trucks and various carts.

Continually and safely lift and carry/maneuver up to 50+ lbs.

Read, follow, understand and execute recipes and follow written and verbal directions precisely.

Work cooperatively with other staff members and with clients from varying backgrounds
