Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver remarkable customer service with strong product knowledge and a friendly attitude in a fast-paced retail environment. You will be exposed to a variety of tasks across Fresh departments to ensure clean, organized displays and helpful service.

You will build connections with customers, share product information, stock and rotate merchandise, and use the POS system to complete transactions. Prior retail or food service experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
