Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver remarkable customer service with friendly attitudes and strong product knowledge. You will be exposed to a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service and merchandising in a fast-paced environment.

You will build connections with customers, share knowledge, maintain displays, stock and rotate products, and help customers locate items across Fresh departments. Previous retail experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused service experience or interest in helping shoppers.
• Ability to learn product locations and offer advice.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Attention to detail and maintaining organized displays.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at the store.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find items.
• Maintain fresh, attractive displays and proper merchandising.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise products according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
