Job summary

Mérieux NutriSciences - North America is seeking a Chemistry Technician in Visalia. The role involves performing chemical analyses on food, pharmaceutical, or other samples, with a 5-day work week and hours from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. This is a full-time position in a laboratory setting.

The incumbent will prepare samples, perform analyses, maintain logs and quality records, and support the lab with standard procedures and housekeeping tasks as part of a safety-conscious team.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and one or more years of experience, or Bachelor's degree.
• Basic knowledge in wet and instrumental chemistry procedures to perform analysis.
• Analytical skills are essential to complete analysis procedures and determine concentrations.
• Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is required.
• Physical dexterity for manipulating samples.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical analyses on samples including protein, moisture, fat, ash and other components.
• Prepare samples and reagents; label and track samples.
• Update logbooks, transfer data and maintain quality records.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of glassware and instrumentation.
• Coordinate with department staff to ensure timely analyses and reports.
