ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Greet customers in a prompt and courteous manner and thank them upon departure.
- Determine the number in a party, accurately post transaction on cash register, and make appropriate change.
- Seat as quickly as possible. If there is a waiting period, ensure guest always has maximum comfort.
- Properly rotate server stations when seating guests (requires knowledge of server abilities).
- Assist service staff in making certain tables are cleared and cleaned after each use and are set properly. Make sure all areas are clean and free of debris.
- Fill condiments as needed.
- Answer telephones using proper phone etiquette as described in CET standards
- Count out cash drawer at end of shift.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
- Must present a neat and professional appearance.
- Work requires attention to detail and accuracy.
- Work requires interactions with customers, public and co-workers.
- Work requires use of a computer and/or cash register.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke.
- Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance according to schedule
- Fast paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint.
- Must be able to handle a heavy business volume, and sensitive situations relating to staff and guest problems, in a timely manner
