Job summary

Position

Food & Beverage Supervisor

Department: Food & Beverage

Reports To: Food and Beverage Manager/Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non Exempt

Opening

Fishers Event Center has an excellent and immediate opening for a part-time Food & Beverage Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ordering, receiving and preparing food items
  • Maintaining food costs and budget goals
  • Ensures all locations are fully stocked prior to every event
  • Attend in-house event-related meetings and relay immediate changes with other departments
  • Ensures all requisitions to the Warehouse and Kitchen are received in a timely manner, in accordance with Company policy
  • Coordinates with Kitchen on the timing and production of food preparation
  • Must possess effective communications skills to liaise between Kitchen and Warehouse Teams
  • Must possess effective communication with NPO Groups, bartenders, third party subcontractors and concession employees
  • Ability to oversee production of retail food operations to be prepared for peak and slow periods
  • Ability to adequately troubleshoot point of sale equipment
  • Inventory and quality controls
  • Ability to handle and properly respond to guest concerns
  • Working hours vary by show to include days, nights, weekdays, and weekends
  • Maintains all concessions and bar equipment, adheres to cleaning and sanitation schedule
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Directly supervises all Concessions personnel and NPO staff
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
Qualifications
  • Serve-safe certified
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a retail food establishment
  • Valid Indiana Server Liquor License and completion of Indiana Excise training courses
Skills and Abilities
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills
  • Strong orientation to customer service and ability to work with other staff members in the facility
  • Results oriented with ability to meet required budgetary goals
  • Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks
  • Computer skills, including Excel programs
  • Must adhere to local Health Department codes
Working Conditions

Location: Fishers Event Center

Physical Demands: Substantial daily activity including standing for 8+ hours, walking 30,000+ steps, lifting up to 50+ pounds, manual dexterity to operate office equipment such as a computer. Work may require inside or outside of the building as needed by events.
