Job summary

Solé Miami is seeking a hands-on Food & Beverage Manager to lead our on-site dining and banquet operations at the Sunny Isles property. You will coach a diverse team, mentor staff, and partner with culinary to elevate wine program and service levels.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years in a similar leadership role in hotel F&B, a hospitality degree, and excellent English communication. You will oversee cost controls, staffing, and compliance to standards.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years' leadership experience in Food & Beverage within hotel operations.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; professional business appearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in hospitality management or related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of F&B operations: Restaurant/Bar, Pool & Beach, Banqueting, In-Room Dining, Culinary, Stewarding.
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
  • Guest service excellence and a collaborative team attitude.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain floor presence across all outlets including banquets, pool, and beach.
  • Monitor and develop team member performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
  • Lead marketing and up-selling to maximize revenue.

A day in the life.

This is a hands-on position where you are actively working side by side with your team on the floor, constantly engaged in high-end service training and improving the fine details. Equally, you are a mentor and coach to your team. You are well informed on wines, partner with the Culinary team on daily specials and let your creative juices flow with wine-pairings, specialty cocktails and exclusive buy-outs. You assist with administrative tasks (ordering, cost controls, payroll etc.) and leadership functions (training, coaching and counseling).

To be successful in the Food & Beverage Manager position, you:
  • Floor presence throughout all outlets including banquets, pool and beach.
  • Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • Assist in initiating and implementing marketing and up-selling techniques to promote restaurant food and beverage services and to maximize overall revenue
  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing and training team member
  • Assist with the organization and administrative functions in all areas of the F&B Division.
  • Closely monitors on a daily, weekly and monthly basis the financial performance of all outlets providing solutions to improve problem areas and assisting in implementing corrective measures.
  • Maintenance and programming of all F&B Systems.

Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar leadership position in Food & Beverage in a hotel operation.
  • Excellent communication skills in all aspects: verbal, written and non-verbal with fluency in English. Professional and appropriate business appearance and presentation.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in hospitality management or related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of all aspects of F&B Operations including: Restaurant and Bar management, Pool & Beach, Banqueting, In Room Dining, Culinary and Stewarding.
  • Possess excellent organizational and administrative skills.
  • Quality driven with a passion for excellence in guest service and satisfaction.
  • Approachable, open minded and fair; must possess the ability to communicate effectively within various levels of colleague and managers throughout the hotel.
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs. Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time while on shift.
