Position Summary

The Food & Beverage Manager will oversee restaurant operations in the Country Club and/or Yacht Club while upholding quality service standards and adhering to the Club's procedures. This position is passionate about providing excellent customer service to Members and guests, performing the following duties:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Supervise Dining Room operations, including activities of servers, food runners, and service assistants to deliver a high-quality dining experience.
  2. Schedule staff and plan dining room set-up based on reservations.
  3. Oversee Host/Hostess daily operations, ensuring proper floor plans and setup for success each shift.
  4. Maintain accurate POS information for smooth service flow and correct billing.
  5. Monitor server tables during shifts, ensuring proper maintenance, timely food delivery, and handling complaints promptly.
  6. Communicate effectively with staff, management, Members, and guests.
  7. Understand profit/loss management, marketing, and manage various dining and beverage services.
  8. Interact with staff professionally in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible and resourceful.
  9. Possess thorough menu knowledge, including ingredients, preparation, sauces, garnishes, and wine list.
  10. Ensure cleanliness and proper storage of dining room items, and complete closing duties.
  11. Coordinate with management on policies, procedures, training, and schedules.
  12. Manage staff attendance, standards, schedules, labor costs, payroll, and disciplinary actions.
  13. Supervise, develop, and evaluate service staff; assist with hiring and onboarding.
  14. Complete and submit reports timely, including schedules, revenue analysis, and shift reports.
  15. Handle and resolve food, beverage, and service complaints, communicating with senior management as needed.
  16. Maintain inventory of dining room items, ensuring par levels and proper storage.
  17. Manage within budget, monitor labor and supplies, and make necessary adjustments.
  18. Conduct pre-meal meetings and attend management meetings.
  19. Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol standards.
  20. Perform any other tasks assigned by senior management.
Education / Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of related management experience, preferably in a private club, hotel, or resort.
Qualifications
  • Florida Food Manager Certification.
  • Florida Safe Serve Alcohol Compliance.
  • CPR/AED Certification.
  • Knowledge of Jonas and AccuBar is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Frequent walking, reaching, bending, turning, squatting, stooping, and stretching.
  • Stand for extended periods.
  • Normal vision and hearing required.

Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 per year
