Sunny Sky Products, LLC Northwest Houston
We are seeking an experienced, accountable, and results driven Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function at our Houston TX beverage manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for building and sustaining a high performing maintenance organization that operates with discipline, proactiveness, and a strong culture of reliability. The ideal candidate brings confirmed leadership experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment, demonstrates end-to-end ownership of preventive and corrective maintenance programs, and communicates with clarity and purpose across all levels of the organization. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires active floor presence, strong cross functional collaboration, and the ability to drive measurable improvements in equipment reliability, downtime reduction, and team accountability from day one.
Lead, develop, and hold accountable a multi-shift team of production and building maintenance technicians through structured coaching, clear performance expectations, and consistent follow through.
Own the facility's preventive maintenance program end to end — schedule development, task quality, execution verification, and continuous improvement based on real equipment performance data.
Fully deploy and manage MaintainX CMMS across all work orders, PM schedules, asset records, and spare parts inventory. Enforce team-wide documentation discipline in real time.
Maintain active floor presence during critical production hours. Support technician coverage gaps directly when needed.
Drive root cause analysis on all recurring failures with documented corrective action plans, defined owners, and resolution timeframes.
Manage all vendor and contractor relationships with active performance oversight from scope of initiation through completion and quality verification.
Maintain accurate spare parts inventory with a proactive replenishment process that eliminates stockout-driven production delays.
Collaborate daily with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain. Arrive prepared for daily direction setting meetings with current maintenance status and solution-oriented updates.
Ensure full GMP, HACCP, and OSHA compliance across all maintenance activities and enforce contamination prevention practices team wide.
Proactively surface all equipment risks, active repairs, and operational constraints to plant leadership before they impact production. Reactive reporting is not the standard.
Accept ownership of newly commissioned equipment immediately upon capital project handover and establish structured handover protocols with engineering.
Manage the maintenance budget including parts procurement, contractor spending, and repair versus replacement justification.
Maintain complete maintenance documentation — SOPs, service records, inspection logs, and corrective action trails — always ensuring full auditability.
5 or more years of maintenance leadership experience in food or beverage manufacturing with confirmed direct team management responsibility.
Demonstrated ownership of a functional PM program with measurable reliability outcomes.
CMMS proficiency for work order management, asset tracking, PM scheduling, and parts inventory. MaintainX experience is a plus.
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting capability with the ability to serve as a technical resource for the team.
Confirmed vendor and contractor management experience including performance accountability and scope oversight.
Exceptional written and verbal communication — concise, solution oriented, and proactive at all organizational levels.
GMP, HACCP, and OSHA knowledge as applied to maintenance operations in a food and beverage manufacturing environment.
Strong organizational discipline and professional availability beyond standard hours when operational needs require it.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred. Equivalent hands-on experience considered.
