Job summary

Cherokee Nation Entertainment in Oklahoma is seeking a Supervisor of Food and Beverage to lead daily venue operations, ensure top service quality, and train staff. You will also manage inventory, scheduling, and gain hands-on exposure to budgeting and costs within a dynamic hospitality setting.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, adherence to gaming laws, and creating a safe, engaging space for guests and employees, with opportunities to grow in a major tribal entertainment group.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of food and beverage experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to supervise a department and provide input on hiring, firing, and performance decisions.
• Ability to obtain a food handler’s card.
• Ability to obtain a state-issued Alcoholic Beverage License.
• Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.
• Requires lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, in a setting that may include exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the venue, with guidance from management. Ensure all food and beverage products served are of excellent quality.
• Provide leadership to staff, fostering a positive and cooperative work environment. Interview, hire, train, and orient new team members to their jobs.
• Prepare departmental schedules and complete administrative work. Order supplies, maintain par stocks, and manage inventory control. Get an introduction to the financial aspects of food/labor/operating costs.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws, company policies, and federal regulations. Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for both employees and guests.
• Conduct group and individual training on company policies, service standards, and food and beverage offerings.
• Promote a fun, friendly, quick, comfortable, clean, and safe environment ("The Big Six").
