Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, CA seeks a friendly and dependable host/cashier to greet guests, seat parties, and manage reservations in a fast-paced environment. You will perform cashier duties, process charges, and uphold Four Diamond service standards to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and are comfortable with cash handling, POS systems, and working flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
The host/cashier purpose is to provide a warm greeting for guest, circulate the room while seating guests and accommodate the initial interaction between guest and the service team. The host should permeate a welcoming persona to each guest walking by or into the restaurant. Their purpose is to start the dining experience from the moment the guest arrives. The host of the restaurant is the first and last impression of the venue to guests. The host controls the pace at which a restaurant fills and can affect the fluidity of an entire shift and is responsible for correctly handling cash, credit and comp procedures as well as properly completing paperwork and providing guest service.
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Customer Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort and Casino.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

A High school education or equivalent and at least one year experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred to successfully perform this job.
This position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. This position also requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Furthermore, this position also requires the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
This position requires the ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. This position also requires the ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
This position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. This position also requires the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
