Job summary

Target in California is seeking a Food & Beverage Expert to deliver a welcoming, guest-first experience while ensuring freshness, proper signage and accurate pricing on the sales floor. You will support replenishment, merchandising, and consistent guest service in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires aflexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, with comprehensive training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age (Bakery Only)
• Previous food or grocery experience preferred, but not required
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
• Work both independently and with a team
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
• Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments
• Greet guests at 10ft and 4ft levels
• Help guests find items and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience, prioritizing the guest’s needs over task
• Follow food safety requirements as outlined in Target policy and procedures
• Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales
