The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. Position Summary: The Food and Nutrition Supervisor will work in tandem with the Executive Chef to achieve department goals. The Food and Nutrition Supervisor will train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities; estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food; select and develop recipes; standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality; establish presentation technique and quality standards; plan menus in consultation with Registered Dietitian; ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance; and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen. The Food and Nutritional Services Supervisor will fill in and prepare meals when needed. The Food and Nutritional Services Supervisor will be responsible to manage the departmental budget for supplies, food and labor.
