Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years’ Lead Server experience preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience with a restaurant POS software platform
  • 1+ years’ experience at current Club or another Troon property

Responsibilities

  • Provides efficient service with professionalism and courtesy to guests.
  • Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized interactions.
  • Assists the department manager with training, development and service standards.
  • Acts as liaison between front-of-house and kitchen for timely communications.
  • Maintains clean, stocked, and organized restaurant; observes equipment and reports maintenance needs.
  • Performs opening/closing procedures and side work; handles inventories and supplies.
  • Coordinates special functions with the Food & Beverage Manager.
  • Supports revenue and production reports as needed.

General Purpose:

Prov ides efficient serviceofour guests with superior professionalism and courtesy. C reates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions. Assiststhe department manager with training, development and implementing customer service standards.

  • Ensures staffisworking together as a team to ensureoptimumservice and that guest needs are met.
  • Inspects grooming and attire ofstaff, andrectifies anydeficiencies..Complete scheduled inventories and stock and requisition necessary supplies. Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, andwell beingof guests.
  • Ensures guests areattended toin a prompt,efficientand personalized manner.
  • Acts as a liaison between frontofhouse and the kitchen staff to ensuretimelyandappropriate communications.
  • Ensures that the restaurant and restaurant facilities are kept clean,well stockedand organized. Checks the maintenance of all equipment in the restaurant and notifies the Food & Beverage Manager of needed maintenance and repair.
  • Assures all opening and closing procedures and side work is completed, including all cleaning of equipment and storage areas ,setting up necessary supplies and tools, un/locking doors, inspecting storage areas for organization, use of FIFO, and cleanliness, etc.
  • Assistsin coordinating special functions with the Food & Beverage Manager.
  • Assists Food & Beverage Manager in performing andmaintainingfood and beverage inventory.
  • Assistswith conducting pre-shift meetings to review specials, menu changes, house counts, etc.
  • Assistsin the completion of revenue reports, productionreportsand other reports as needed.
  • Performs daily activities toinclude:serving tables, bussing tables, seating guests, roomserviceand general clerical/cashier duties.
  • Assiststhe department manager in interviewing, training, planning, assigning, and directing work. Make recommendations when hiring, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates.
  • Develops andmaintainspositive working relationships with others, supports the team to reach common goals, and listens and responds appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • Ensures adherence to quality expectations andstandards;andidentifies, recommends, develops, and implements new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-saving initiatives.
  • Addresses complaints and resolves problems.
  • Assistsin the coordination of department members that may include, but is not limited to: Hosts, Servers, Expediters, and Cashiers.
  • Assistsin monitoring business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas ofmanpower, productivity,costsand other expenses.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties asrequired.
MinimumRequirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Requirements:
  • 2+ years’ Lead Server experience preferred
  • 2+ years’ experiencewith arestaurant POS software platform
  • 1+ years’ experience at current Club or another Troon property
Physical Demands:
  • Frequently stands, walks, talks and hears.Regularly useshands, reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches,tasteor smells. Frequentlylifts upto 25 pounds and occasionallylifts upto 50pounds.
  • Occasionally works in extreme heat, wet or humid conditions (non-weather). Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.Noiselevel is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:

ServSafeCertified (Food Manager & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
  • Ability to read and speak English may berequiredin order toperform the duties of the job (e.g.the associates may be requiredto communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
  • Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
  • Thorough knowledge of Food & Beverage outlet operations including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, servicetechniquesand guest interaction.
  • Working knowledge ofPOSsystem.
  • Attention to cleanliness and safety.
  • Patience and customer-oriented approach.
  • Excellentpeopleskills with a friendly attitude.
  • Responsible and trustworthy.
