The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Food and Beverage Manager to join the leadership team! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world. After a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever.
Veranda offers a quintessential al fresco dining experience with spectacular ocean views. The menu features American favorites inspired by The Del’s Southern California roots, emphasizing fresh, regional ingredients, complemented by classic cocktails and a California-forward wine list.
Located on Coronado Island, just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888. It has over 750 rooms, including cottages and villas, 65,000 sq ft of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets, including 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.
In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of Veranda, report to the Restaurant General Manager, and directly supervise 1 Food and Beverage Manager and 55 Front of House Team Members.
The ideal candidate will be an exceptional leader passionate about creating extraordinary guest experiences, skilled in training and developing staff, and experienced in restaurant operations, including financial performance, social media reputation, local market engagement, and employee relations. A minimum of 3 years in upscale restaurant management is required. Strong beverage knowledge and experience managing a unionized environment are preferred.
Classification: Full-Time
Shift: Various – availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays required.
Pay Rate: The annual salary range is $70,000 - $75,000, based on experience and location.
