Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott Orem University Place in Orem, UT, seeks a Food & Beverage Manager with at least two years of hotel and restaurant management experience combined with banquet experience. This is a full-time role requiring weekend and holiday shifts. You will lead both kitchen and front-of-house teams and drive event catering success.

Qualifications

• Completion of a culinary degree, program or certificate with at least 3 years of experience directly related to the above food and beverage responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Train and manage back-of-the-house (kitchen) staff for food and beverage preparation and front-of-the-house presentation staff.
• Estimate food and beverage consumption and purchases; may manage liquor license and licensure requirements.
• Select and develop recipes; standardize production recipes for consistent quality.
• Establish presentation techniques and quality standards.
• Plan and price menus.
• Ensure proper equipment operation, safety and sanitation.
• Prepare meals as needed; oversee catering events.
• Supervise hiring, discipline, and performance of subordinate staff.
• Maximize sales and revenue for food and beverage operations; perform related duties.

Essential Functions
