Grand Bear Golf Club

Position Overview
The Food & Beverage Manager directs the daily Food & Beverage operations related activities in accordance with the philosophy, policy, and procedures of Cabot-Managed Properties. Works closely with each club’s General Manager and reports directly to the Director of Food and Beverage to maintain high levels of guest service and departmental excellence.
Essential Functions

Assist the General Manager in all aspects of the day-to-day F&B operations.
Establish and maintain responsibility for the cleanliness and appearance of all F&B front and back of the house areas, Clubhouse and Storage Areas.
Maintain a high profile with the membership, guests, and staff.
Positively promote the service policy of Cabot-Managed Properties.
Preserve above and beyond service standards to both internal and external guests.
Create and monitor all staff schedules.
Identify our guests’ needs and respond proactively to all their concerns.
Develop and maintain an incredibly talented staff which creates a guest service atmosphere second to none.
Conduct annual reviews and develop self-improvement programs.
Be responsible for complying with all health and safety regulations.
Assist in the planning and execution of all Food & Beverage needs for outings and events.
With the General Manager, develop the club’s budgets and manage line items to continually control F&B operating expenses.
Hire, discipline, and discharge food and beverage staff in coordination with the Director of Food andBeverage, property General Managers, Talent andCulture.
Project a positive favorable image for the property and Cabot-Managed Properties.
Members, the press, members, guests, employees, and representatives from Food & Beverage vendors.
Maintain control of employee uniforms, ensuring that uniforms and nametags are always worn and kept in proper condition and readily available.
Be able to work in the Golf Shop sporadically as needed.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent customer service skills
3+ years’ experience in food & beverage service.
Experience in F&B operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
