Alila Ventana Big Sur, part of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, seeks an experienced F&B Manager to oversee all food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service, innovative menus, and profitable performance.

You will lead a team, manage budgets, collaborate with culinary and guest services, and drive sustainability initiatives while delivering memorable guest experiences at this iconic California resort.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a food and beverage leadership position, preferably in a hotel setting.
• Proven leadership and team-building skills.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene and sanitation regulations.

• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Basic computer skills for managing inventory and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, room service, and banquets.
• Ensure consistent quality in food, beverage, and service standards to exceed guest expectations.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Develop and implement efficient workflows and operational procedures.
• Prepare and manage the food and beverage department budget, including cost control measures.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, ensuring profitability and revenue growth.
• Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to achieve the best quality and pricing.
• Plan and execute promotional events to drive sales and enhance the guest experience.
• Recruit, train, and mentor food and beverage staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals, and provide constructive feedback.
• Schedule and manage staff to ensure optimal coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
• Collaborate with chefs and culinary teams to curate innovative menus and beverage selections.
• Respond to guest feedback, resolving complaints and enhancing satisfaction.
• Monitor and evaluate guest satisfaction scores, implementing improvements as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends, introducing new offerings and service enhancements.
• Partner with other departments to align food and beverage initiatives with overall hotel goals.
• Implement sustainability initiatives, such as waste reduction and locally sourced ingredients.

The F&B Manager oversees shift operations for the Front of House team. This position reports to the Director of Food & Beverage.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

The Salary Range for this position is $90,000 – 110,000 per year.This is the pay range for this position at Alila Ventana Big Sur reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors including experience, and education.
