Job summary

Snowshoe Mountain is seeking an experienced restaurant manager to lead daily operations on a high-traffic on-mountain property in Snowshoe, West Virginia. The role emphasizes guest experience, safety, and financial performance while coordinating with kitchen and service teams.

You will supervise staff, recruit and train, manage schedules, and drive promotions and events to maximize profitability in a dynamic mountain resort setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 5 years of restaurant/business supervisory or management experience.
• Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Strong leadership, training, and personnel management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and direction by managing quality, service, safety, and profit.
• Developing and implementing goals, policies, and objectives; overseeing operations.
• Assists in recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training management and staff.
• Manages payroll, scheduling, performance reviews, coaching, and discipline.
• Oversees managers, supervisors, and employees; attends required meetings.
• Conducts training seminars (tips, food handling, etc.).
• Ensures guest satisfaction through menu planning, pricing, and events.
• Monitors labor costs and costs of goods; contributes to budget planning.
• Supports the team to accomplish related results as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and direction by:
  • Managing standards of quality, service, safety, and profit
  • Developing and implementing goals, policies, and objectives Overseeing all aspects of the operations under his/her direction
  • Assisting in recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training of management and staff
  • Carrying out all administrative functions pertaining to hiring, scheduling, payroll, performance reviews, coaching, counseling and discipline
  • Overseeing managers, supervisors and employees under their direction Attending all meetings as required
  • Conducting training seminars (Tips, food handling, etc.)
• Ensures guest satisfaction by:
  • Assisting in the menu planning, analysis, and pricing
  • Coordinating additional staff needs for special events and conference center business
  • Inspecting outlet(s) and employees to ensure compliance with health, safety and state regulations Addressing guest feedback concerning outlets(s) service, presentation, quality of product and overall experience
  • Creating and implementing promotions, animation and special events for the outlet(s)
• Maintains profitability by:
  • Monitoring labor costs, cost of goods sold, and other costs. Contributing to the annual budget process and business plan
• Contributes to team effort by:
  • Accomplishing related results as needed

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Experience

• 5 years of restaurant/business supervisory or management
