Job summary

Target is seeking a Food & Beverage Expert in Minnesota to deliver an easy, inspiring guest experience on the sales floor. You will greet guests, assist with finding products, and support your teammates while upholding Target's food safety standards.

This role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment, including nights and weekends. Prior food or grocery experience helps, but a welcoming attitude and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older (Bakery Only)
• Previous food or grocery experience preferred, but not required
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
• Work both independently and with a team
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
• Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on commitments.
• Greet guests at 10ft and 4ft with a warm, helpful interaction.
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Deliver on Food & Beverage standards and processes.
• Follow food safety requirements per Target policies.
• Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products.
• Work with vendors to set up displays and organize backroom space.
• Locate damaged or expired items and handle per policies.
• Comply with all federal, state and local laws for alcohol.
• Use PPE and follow equipment guidelines.
• Work safely and report hazards; adhere to safety policies.
• Back-up cashier, order pickup and Drive-up duties as needed.
• Perform other duties based on business needs.
