Job summary

Oklahoma City Indian Clinic in Oklahoma City is seeking a Food Resource Center Specialist to help patients access nutritious food and community resources. You will perform daily operations of the Food Resource Center, stock shelves, assist with bagging groceries, and support an efficient distribution process.

The role requires at least 2 years in grocery/retail or a related environment, strong organizational and communication skills, basic computer use, and a valid Oklahoma driver's license.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in grocery, retail, food distribution, or a related environment is preferred.
• Experience helping individuals access community resources and food assistance programs preferred; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily operations of the Food Resource Center, stocking shelves and organizing products.
• Receives and unloads food deliveries; verifies, sorts, and stocks incoming products.
• Maintains organized and stocked warehouse, storage, refrigeration, freezer, and grocery areas.
• Assists patients by providing courteous service, bagging groceries, and supporting distribution process.
• Documents patient Food Resource Center utilization and resource requests in the EHR or tracking systems.
• Provides information and referrals for community resources, including SNAP assistance.
• Coordinates with community organizations, tribal entities, and vendors to support Center operations.
• May provide day-to-day transportation for appointments and referrals.
• Performs other duties to support Food Resource Center operations.
