Sofidel America is seeking a Machine Operator to join our team in a long-term role. Local candidates will perform setup, operation, and monitoring of folding equipment, ensuring products meet customer specifications and quality standards.

The role requires compliance with GMP/HACCP, accurate documentation, and the ability to train peers. A 12-hour rotating shift is included, with emphasis on safety and lean practices.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support GMP and HACCP to promote a safe, sanitary workplace.
• Understand customer specifications and ensure finished goods meet requirements.
• Program and monitor the operating panel and perform necessary conversions.
• Set up, operate, and adjust folding and downstream equipment to meet quotas.
• Perform hourly quality checks and submit daily quality reports to QA.

Position Overview

Sofidel America of _____________ is currently seeking a Machine Operator to join our team. Job Responsibilities

• Support Sofidel America’s Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP to promote a safe, sanitary, and hygienically sound workplace.
• Understand and apply customer specifications to the operation of the machine to ensure finished goods comply with customer requirements.
• Program and monitor the computerized operating panel if applicable. Calculate mathematical conversions to ensure proper standards are met for each product.
• Initiate set up, operations, and adjustment of folding equipment and any downstream equipment to achieve established production quota.
• Perform hourly quality checks to ensure the accuracy of the production runs and the submittal of daily quality reports to the QA department.
• Monitor and perform product changeovers in conjunction with the Rapid Changeover Technicians (RCO Techs).
• Ensure regular and open communications with quality, maintenance, and supervision.
• Train and monitor the activity of the other employees on the machine.
• Demonstrate leadership skills on a regular, consistent basis.
• Work the 12‑hour rotating shift requirement.
• Keep the work area clean and organized while following the lean initiatives.

Other Responsibilities

• Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional materials and supplies.
• Maintain a safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified levels of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Must be able to work on a 12‑hour rotating shift schedule.
• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED); and/or previous relevant experience is preferred.
• Must be able to interpret documents regarding safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, along with quality and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to analyze manufacturing operations and perform capacity analysis to identify obstructions.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Must demonstrate the ability to promote a safe working environment.
