Folder Gluer Machine Operator

Job Summary:

The Folder-Gluer Machine Operatorwill be responsible for the daily operations of our folder/gluer machine that creates finished packaging.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for setup, make-ready, operate, and monitor thefolder/gluer equipment during the running process to meet customer specifications.
  • Make Adjustments to account for different fold and glue patterns based on job specifications.
  • Perform all quality checks to ensure proper gluing, and folding, and minimize waste and rework.
  • Perform preventative and mechanical maintenance, adjustments, repairs, and cleaning as needed.
  • Observe and monitor machine operations while running to detect and identify defects to determine if adjustments are necessary.
  • Maintain safety, quality, maintenance and good manufacturing practices.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Bindery or printing (Bobst Series) highly desirable.
  • Detail-Oriented.
  • Possesses mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • General knowledge and understanding of die cutting process and equipment.
  • Math, analytical and abstract thinking.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret internal and external communications to perform job duties.
  • Ability to use measuring tools and hand tools.
  • Proficient knowledge of production materials, quality methods, and color standards are necessary.
  • Good verbal and written comprehension to understand job orders and follow detailed instructions.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, and distinguish between differentcolors.
  • Finger and hand dexterity.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Ability to work quickly in a fast-pacedenvironment.
  • Required to use a pallet jack.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Press or Finishing experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience operating a folder/gluer machine.

Physical Requirements:Standing-80%, Walking-20%, Lifting, Carrying, Pushing, Pulling 50lbs.

Job Type: Full Time
Shift Available & Schedule:1st shift (8:00am-4:00pm), 2nd shift (4:00pm-12:00am), 3rd shift (12:00am-8:00am)
